Australian Curriculum

Sets expectations for what all Australian students should be taught, regardless of where they live or their background.
The curriculum offers opportunities for interdisciplinary approaches that support the development of consumer and financial literacy in students. This features explicitly in Mathematics and Humanities and Social Sciences. In addition, the Year 7–10 Australian Curriculum—Economics and Business covers the importance of financial planning, the rights and responsibilities of consumers and businesses, how people manage financial risks and rewards, as well as the role and purpose of taxation and superannuation.
